The 19 channels

Offline advertising

Print, radio, out-of-home, direct mail.

What it is

Advertising outside the internet, one of the 19 traction channels. S3

When it works

When the deal size can carry a media budget and there is a person to run it. Janz’s tiers put the point plainly: your price determines which motions are arithmetically possible. S5

What it needs from the product

A budget and an operator. The report treats this as a capacity constraint as well as an arithmetic one.

How it decays

Every channel decays. Novelty fades, competitors copy what works, and scaling means reaching progressively less responsive people. S21

What the report checks

Two gates bite. The capacity gate needs a small team, because someone has to run the media. The arithmetic gate compares your CAC ceiling against an assumed floor, the highest of the paid floors.
