The 19 channels

Offline events

Small events you run yourself. Micro, not mega.

What it is

One of the 19 traction channels. S3 Going where your target users are, offline, was the first of Lenny’s seven consumer strategies, used by Tinder, DoorDash, Lyft, Uber, Snapchat, Nextdoor, Etsy and Pinterest. S18

When it works

When the channel is too small for larger competitors to bother saturating. Chen’s 2025 recommendation is asymmetry: micro-events, niche communities and personalised outreach. S25 Poyar names intimate events as an emerging B2B area. S24

What it needs from the product

A CAC ceiling that covers a small event, and a person. Micro-events are runnable by one person.

How it decays

Small events decay slowly precisely because they do not scale. Once a format is copied it saturates like anything else. S21

What the report checks

The arithmetic gate compares your CAC ceiling against an assumed floor for a small event. The capacity gate passes for a solo operator.
